Why We Built This

Sterk & Stout started around the braai — like most good things do.

I got tired of the same story every time. Plastic spice bottles lying around. Labels peeling. Things breaking and being replaced. Nothing that felt like it belonged next to a proper fire.

Because a braai isn’t just cooking. It’s time with people. It’s ritual. It’s something we take pride in.

So why were the tools always disposable?

I didn’t want to create another spice brand.

I wanted to build something that lasts.

Something you keep next to your braai.

Something that looks right, feels solid and gets better over time.
